Sure a rug can be a good way to conceal boring flooring or to add texture to a space or to keep your feet warm in the winter months. But I prefer to use rugs as floor art! They can bring big, bold patterns and colors to a space for a reasonable price. A piece of floor art I am currently enamored with is Anthropologie's 9' x 12' Tufted Gingko Rug ($849, was $1648).
