I love upholstered beds because they add a new texture to bedroom furniture. The dresser is typically wood, the nightstands are also wood. So I am always hesitant to add a wooden bed for fear the room will become wood-amania. That's why I am crushing on Room and Board's Hoffman California King Bed ($1700, was $1900).
